HOA approval help
A request your board can say yes to
Many Phoenix-area associations want a paint request before any exterior color changes, and some even for the same color. We help you make the request clear and complete. The board decides, and we can't promise its answer.
What we do
Read your CC&Rs or the architectural guidelines with you
Match your color to the association's approved palette
Fill in the request form for you to sign
Hold your start date while the board decides

From request to start date
Five steps, and your part in each
Step 1: You send the rules
Your HOA's paint guidelines, or the management company's name. We read them.
Step 2: We build the color sheet
One page: your color chip, a photo of the house and the product we would use.
Step 3: We fill in the form
Enedina fills in the request. You check it, sign it and send it, or we send it for you.
Step 4: The board decides
Boards meet on their own schedule. We hold your start date and check in with you.
Step 5: We paint what was approved
The color on the wall matches the chip on the approved sheet.
The color sheet
What goes on the one-page sheet
The color
A chip with its name and number, from the palette your association allows.
The house
A photo of the front, marked with where the body, trim and door colors go.
The product
The coating and sheen, so the board knows what is going on the wall.
The dates
When we would start and how long the job runs.
Questions about HOAs
Do I need my HOA's approval?
Many Phoenix-area associations ask for approval before an exterior color change, and some for the same color. Check your CC&Rs or ask your management company. We help you prepare the request. The board decides, and we can't promise an answer.
What if the board says no?
We ask what would change the answer, adjust the color or the sheet, and send it again. No work starts and nothing is owed for the coating until you approve a date.
My color isn't changing. Do I still ask?
Some associations want a request even for the same color. Check your guidelines or ask the management company before we book a date.
Can you match my existing color?
Yes, from a chip, a paint can or a sample we take from an inconspicuous spot. Sun fades stucco, so we compare the match on the wall in daylight before we coat all of it.
